ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Missouri Ethics Commission stated there would be no fiscal impact to the Commission.
Officials of the Office of Attorney General did not respond.
Oversight assumes substantial compliance by those affected, therefore, there would be no state or local fiscal impact.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This act will require that any person or device making a telephone call providing political information identify:
(1) The entity making the call; and (2) The person or ballot measure on behalf of which the call is being made.
A person or entity making or paying for such calls shall file its name, address and telephone number with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be subject to the penalty provisions in Section 130.081, RSMo, (Campaign Finance Disclosure Law).
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
