FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials of the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate stated that this proposal would not affect their agencies, fiscally.

Advertisement costs for the proposal would be $4,380 per newspaper column inch for three printings of the text of the proposal, the introduction, title, fiscal note summary, and affidavit. The proposal would be on the ballot for the April 2002 municipal general election.

Oversight notes that the state would be responsible for its proportionate share of costs due to scheduling a statewide election on the municipal general election date. The state share of election costs for a similar election in 1998 was approximately $1,200,000.
