Officials from the Laclede County Circuit Clerk and Records Office assume this proposal will not fiscally affect their agency.
Officials from the City of St. Louis Recorder of Deeds Office did not respond to our request for fiscal impact. Oversight assumes this will not fiscally affect any recorders' office in the state.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal forbids a recorder of deeds to issue a marriage license to someone under the age of 17 marrying someone 21 years of age or older.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
