ASSUMPTION



Missouri House of Representatives (MHR) officials stated this proposal would extend duties and responsibilities of the Joint Committee on Health Care Policy and Planning beyond December 31, 1999. Officials stated that the proposal would have no fiscal effect on the House.



Missouri Senate (SEN) officials stated this proposal would extend duties and responsibilities of the Joint Committee on Health Care Policy and Planning beyond December 31, 1999. Officials stated that the proposal would have no fiscal effect on the Senate.



Oversight notes that the Joint Committee on Health Care Policy and Planning employed a research analyst and assumes that the Committee would employ a staff member. Oversight also assumes that expenses for the Joint Committee members could be absorbed by the Joint Contingency Fund.

DESCRIPTION



This proposal would reauthorize the legislative Joint Committee on Health Care Policy and Planning. The authorization for the Committee would expire December 31, 2005.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space. This legislation would not affect Total State Revenue.
