ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator, the Office of the Attorney General, the Office of Prosecution Services, the Office of the State Public Defender, and the Department of Public Safety - Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Capitol Police, and Division of Fire Safety assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.



Oversight assumes the proposal would result in an increase in fine revenues for political subdivisions; however, the exact amount of increased revenue cannot be determined.

DESCRIPTION



The proposed legislation would increase fines for littering to $1,000, in addition to other penalties provided by law.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
