Statement from Sen. Rick Brattin Regarding Redistricting Case

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Rick Brattin, R-Harrisonville, issued a statement relating to Missouri Supreme Court arguments regarding Missouri’s most recent congressional redistricting map:

“The state supreme court is hearing arguments over something put into place nearly one year ago. Missouri was one of the first states to address this issue and redraw what I believe is a more fair map than what we had before.

“The voters have spoken on this matter. I have every confidence the court will agree with the Legislature, render a fair judgment in regard to this matter and put it to bed before summer arrives.”
