Senator Sandy Crawford's Capitol Report for the Week of March 30, 2026
Thursday, April 2, 2026

    April 2, 2026

I am pleased that my first piece of legislation has passed both the Missouri Senate and the Missouri House of Representatives and is headed to the governor for his approval.

House Bill 2423  will revise statutory provisions under the Missouri Division of Finance. The division is a 100% fee funded agency responsible for regulating state-chartered banks and non-bank consumer financial services companies. House Bill 2423 establishes the Consumer Licensing Fund, which will ensure all financial institutions are responsible for their own examination costs.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter with family and friends.

I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at 573-751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
