Statement from Sen. Angela Mosley Regarding the Shooting in North St. Louis

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Angela Walton Mosley, D-Florissant, today issued the following statement relating to the shooting following a sporting event at McCluer South-Berkeley High School, injuring one teen and killing another:

“My heart is heavy. A 14-year-old has lost their life, another young person is fighting to survive, and a 13-year-old is now in custody.  This is more than a tragedy, it’s a crisis. Our children are hurting. Our community is grieving. We must come together, invest in our youth, and address the root causes.  No parent should have to bury their child. I’m praying for the families and for healing in our community. This is the time to act.

“Enough is enough.”
