Governor Appointments

I hope you stayed warm and safe during the winter storm this past weekend. This week a number of committee hearings took place, moving the Senate closer towards floor activity and taking action that will help the people of Missouri. 

I am happy to stand alongside multiple governor appointments that were presented in front of the Gubernatorial Appointments committee this week. The following appointees have been selected from within the 6th district: Kelly Frisella to the State Board of Optometry; Lyle Rosburg to the Missouri Health Facilities Review Committee; Jeffery Davis to the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Governors; David Williams to the Board of Probation and Parole; and Christopher Schappe to the Board of Probation and Parole. I am eager to see what they will accomplish in their new positions.

I also had the chance to present my Senate Bill 938 to the Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee. This bill helps the recapture the rising costs of land surveying by increasing the fee from four to five dollars. This will help to ensure land surveys are done with the most accurate tools possible.
