Senator Coleman’s Efforts Streamlining Government Agencies and Processes Clears Key Committee
JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Senate Government Efficiency Committee passed three measures sponsored by State Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman, R-Arnold, to eliminate outdated laws, dissolve inactive government entities and strengthen oversight of costly regulations.
The committee’s mission is to streamline government, reduce waste and increase accountability to taxpayers. The committee passed the following measures that are a direct result of that mission:
“These bills reflect my commitment to responsible governance,” Sen. Coleman said. “By removing obsolete laws, eliminating inactive state boards and ensuring legislative oversight of high-cost regulations, we are making Missouri government more efficient, transparent and accountable to taxpayers.”
