Senator Coleman Applauds Governor’s Missouri GREAT Executive Order
JEFFERSON CITY — State Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman, R-Arnold, praised the governor for signing Executive Order 26-03, establishing the Missouri Government Responsibility, Efficiency, Accountability and Transformation (Missouri GREAT) initiative.
“The governor's Missouri GREAT executive order sends a clear message to taxpayers that the Missouri government will operate with discipline, transparency and accountability,” Sen. Coleman said. “This initiative reinforces our shared commitment to running state government efficiently, eliminating waste and delivering real value to Missourians.”
Executive Order 26-03 builds on the governor’s previous efforts to streamline government operations and reinforces the administration’s commitment to managing taxpayer dollars responsibly. The order establishes a comprehensive framework for identifying outdated programs, eliminating unnecessary regulations, modernizing service delivery and improving constituent services across all executive departments.
As chair of the Missouri Senate Government Efficiency Committee, Senator Coleman emphasized the Legislature’s role in ensuring accountability. The committee is focused on streamlining Missouri state government, improving efficiency and holding state agencies accountable to Missouri taxpayers.
