Senator Angela Mosley Hosts RECA Town Hall
JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Angela Mosley’s, D-Florissant, Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) Town Hall will take place Thursday, Aug. 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Greater Grace Church on 3690 Pershall Road, Ferguson, MO. This event will discuss recent changes made to the act in light of the determination that Coldwater Creek was contaminated with nuclear waste, making those impacted or their families eligible for financial compensation under RECA.
Speakers at the event will discuss covered zip codes, types of cancers and other illnesses that qualify, expected compensation, the application process and answer questions and guidance about the process.
“This is a unique opportunity to get the facts and resources you or your loved ones may need,” Sen. Mosley said. “I encourage you to attend, spread the word, and bring anyone who could benefit from this information.”
This event is co-sponsored alongside several other legislators and former legislators. You may contact Sen. Mosley’s office with any questions by calling 573-751-2420 or by emailing angela.mosley@senate.mo.gov.
