Senate Leadership Issues Joint Statement on Passing of Sen. Ron Richard

“Today Missouri mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished and dedicated leaders.

The Missouri Senate’s thoughts and prayers are with Patty and the Richard family and we express our thanks to them for sharing their devoted husband and loving father with the people of Missouri.

Ron Richard served in the General Assembly for 16 years, being elected to serve as both Speaker of the House and Senate Pro Tem. He was passionate and focused when it came to representing his constituents and their values. He demonstrated the ideals we all admire and respect in our elected leaders.

Missouri is better thanks to Senator Richard’s service.”
