No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.





DESCRIPTION



This proposal provides that neither the state board of education, nor any public school district shall create a regulation, engage in discriminatory behavior relating to, or enter into any agreement or contract with, any entity which shall infringe in any manner on the opportunity of a student athlete to compete in or train for any sport, or levy any form of punishment or sanction against any student athlete for competing in or training for any sport, provided that the student athlete meets the requirements for participation in the high school program.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
