Officials from the Department of Economic Development assume no fiscal impact from this proposal.



Officials from the Office of Administration - Budget and Planning state the proposal should not result in additional costs or savings to their agency. BAP defers to DED for the fiscal impact to the state.



Officials from the City of Boonville assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their city.



Officials from the cities of North Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit and Rolla did not respond to our request for fiscal impact.



Oversight assumes this proposal will only impact the choices available regarding future redevelopment projects by limiting them to non-residential purposes. Oversight assumes this will have no actual fiscal impact at the state or local level of government.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal prohibits future redevelopment (TIF) projects from being used for residential purposes, except in Kansas City and St. Louis.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
