ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education indicated this proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agency or on local school districts.



Officials from the Office of Administration - Division of Budget and Planning (BAP) stated this proposal should not result in additional costs or savings to BAP.



The following school districts indicated there would be no fiscal impact on their districts: Kansas City Missouri School District, Columbia Public Schools, and the Parkway School District.



St Louis Public Schools and the Nixa School District did not respond to our request for fiscal note.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal requires that school districts meet the requirements of Section 160.530, RSMo, in order to be eligible for state aid.



Under current law, Section 160.530, RSMo, requires, as a condition of receiving state aid, that school districts allocate one percent of their state aid to the professional development committee of the district.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
