DESCRIPTION
This act requires MoDOT to examine the traffic congestion problems that occur at the intersections of Fifty-Second Street and U.S. Highway 71, Fifty-Fifth Street and U.S. Highway 71, and Seventy-Fifth Street and U.S. Highway 71, and study whether overpass systems should be established at such intersections, among other alleviation alternatives. MoDOT is also required to determine whether an exit onto U.S. Highway 71 off westbound Interstate 70 should be constructed. MoDOT is required to report such findings to the General Assembly no later than December 1, 2004.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
