ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Missouri House of Representatives, Office of the Secretary of State, and Office of Administration, Division of Budget and Planning assume the proposal would have no direct fiscal effect on their agency.
Officials of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations indicated in response to a similar proposal in the prior session that the proposal would have no direct fiscal effect on their agency.
Oversight notes that since this proposal would ratify an amendment to the United States Constitution, it only requires ratification by the General Assembly. There would be no requirement for a statewide vote; therefore there would be no direct fiscal impact.
