FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Transportation (MoDOT) stated that the Department of Missouri, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, will pay for all appropriate signage, therefore there is no fiscal impact to MoDOT.

Oversight assumes that since a provision for paying for the signs is included in the proposal, MoDOT will not erect the signs until funds are received.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal establishes the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Highway on the portion of Interstate 44 from the intersection of Highway 100 at the city of Gray Summit west to the Franklin/Crawford County line. The Department of Missouri, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, shall pay for all appropriate signage.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
