FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal allows the Superintendent of the Highway Patrol to authorize officers to accept federal commissions to provide investigative and arrest authority and to enforce federal laws. The proposal also allows Highway Patrol officers to run for and hold positions as school board members.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
