Officials from the Department of Transportation stated that due to federal law preemption, this proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agency or on small business.



Officials from the City of Eureka anticipate no direct fiscal impact in connection with this proposal.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal requires all railroad corporations owning or operating a railroad which traverses through Eureka, Missouri to establish a suitable stopping place, depot or union station within such city to accommodate the boarding and unboarding of passengers.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
