ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Higher Education, the University of Missouri, Truman State University, Central Missouri State University, Southwest Missouri State University, and Linn State Technical College assume this proposal would have no impact on their organizations.
Officials from Lincoln University assume the impact of this proposal on their organization would be minimal given the current frequency and duration of board meetings.
Oversight assumes this minimal cost could be absorbed with existing resources.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would add faculty representatives to the governing boards of the state colleges and universities. The nonvoting faculty representatives would be appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
