FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal applies standards to be utilized by the Board of Arbitration in determining whether a proposed school district boundary change is necessary. The standards for such a determination include the presence of: school-aged children in the affected area; actual educational harm to school-age children (significant differences in transportation time or educational opportunities); an educational necessity, not a commercial benefit to landowners.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
