FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
This proposal could have an unknown fiscal impact to small businesses that sell bottled water.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would require the labeling of bottled water. In order for bottled water to be sold in the state the bottled water manufacturer must provide on the label a toll-free number and an Internet website with information on the sources of water, level of regulated contaminants in the source water, any purification process used, and the company's compliance with applicable state and federal standards.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
