ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Public Safety - Liquor Control assume this proposal would not have a fiscal impact on their agency.



Officials from the City of Kansas City (CKC) state that no additional licensing fees are due Kansas City as a consequence of this bill. Therefore, there will be no fiscal impact in that regard. However, the potential positive impact of additional revenues due to extended hours is indeterminable at this time.



Officials from the City of North Kansas City assume this proposal would not fiscally impact them.



Officials from Jackson County and Clay County did not respond to our request for fiscal impact.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal revises the times at which liquor by the drink may be served at certain convention trade areas. Currently some of these areas are required to sell liquor no earlier than 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. This proposal moves the time to 8:00 a.m. on Sundays for convention trade areas in Kansas City.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
