FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



Small business newspapers may be impacted by this proposal as notices are required to be published for three consecutive weeks.



DESCRIPTION



This proposal changes the time for the owner of lost property to prove property ownership from one year to 180 days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation located in the county where the money or property was found. Publication in the newspaper is to occur once per week for three consecutive weeks.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
