DESCRIPTION



The proposed legislation would provide that a public governmental body is authorized to close a meeting or record to the extent they relate to operational plans or other documents held by an agency responsible for public health or safety that are used in responding to or preventing certain critical incidents or events that appear to be terrorist, criminal or hostile in nature and which have the potential to endanger an individual's or the public's safety.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
