Department of Public Safety- Fire Safety officials assume no fiscal impact.



Officials of the City of Fulton stated they currently provide water at no cost to fire entities during times of emergencies. Officials assume no fiscal impact.



Officials of the Kansas City Manager's Office stated this proposal would have little or no fiscal impact.



Officials of the Eureka Fire Protection District assume no fiscal impact.



Entities not responding to requests are as follows: The Cities of : Springfield, St. Joseph, Independence, Columbia, and St. Louis. The Fire Protection Districts of : Logan-Rogersville, and Raytown

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This act requires that any water corporation, municipality or public water supply district shall allow access to its supply of water during an emergency to any fire protection district, city fire department or other entity providing fire protection services, regardless of any non-payment of fees.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
