No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION

This bill makes a technical change to the Ambulance and Fire Protection District Sales Tax Trust Fund. Under current law, the Director of the Department of Revenue must authorize the State Treasurer to make refunds from the amounts in the trust fund and credit any district for erroneous payments and overpayments made. The bill allows the director to make the refunds and credits.

The bill also allows for the statewide certification of an emergency medical technician-intermediate. Under current law, this position is only authorized in certain charter and first classification counties. .



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
