Officials of the Department of Revenue assume this proposal makes the law consistent with other local statutes.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This act provides that the Director of Revenue may make refunds from the amounts in the trust
fund created to hold money generated by a sales tax for an ambulance or fire protection district.
Currently, the Director of Revenue may authorize the State Treasurer to make such refunds.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
