FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This act requires an election authority to complete its verification of initiative and referendum petition signatures not later than 30 days from the date the authority receives the petition from the Secretary of State. Currently, the authority must complete the verification within two weeks.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
