SB 517 - This act imposes an additional $1,500 fine for failing to drive in the right-hand lane. Under current law, vehicles must be driven in the right-hand lane except for passing another vehicle, preparing to make a left turn, or when otherwise marked by traffic signals. A violation of the current law is a Class C misdemeanor (up to 15 days in jail/ fine up to $300). STEPHEN WITTE
