SB 265 - Currently, Section 247.085, RSMo, provides that the Board of Directors of any public water supply district, which is dependent upon purchases of water to supply its needs, has the power to sell and convey property to any city. The city assumes the payment of all outstanding bond obligations and it must provide water service to the inhabitants in the district as agreed upon by the board and the city. This act would allow the Board of Directors of any district to sell and convey property under these circumstances, instead of only those who are dependent upon purchases of water to supply its needs.
