SB 395 – This act makes it a Class C felony for any school district employee or school board member to knowingly make a false statement or provide false information in conjunction with a school district employee's application for retirement benefits with the Public School Retirement System of Missouri (PSRS) or with any certification made regarding the employee's employment status to PSRS. This act makes it a Class C felony for any school board member to knowingly vote to approve an employment contract for a certified teacher or administrator that contains provisions designed to evade the 550 hour limitation and 50% pay limitation for retired members who seek to work on a part-time or substitute basis. This act makes it a Class C felony for any school board member to knowingly vote to approve an employment contract for a certified teacher or administrator that contains provisions to reemploy that individual after the waiting period following retirement, which is specified in rule and is currently sixty days.
