SB 1021 - Under current law, the Missouri Health Insurance Pool shall not have pool rates exceeding two hundred percent of rates applicable to individual standard risks. Current law also provides for a twelve-month waiting period for pool coverage for persons with preexisting conditions. This act provides that the pool rates for persons diagnosed with cancer shall not exceed eighty percent of rates applicable to individual standard risks and eliminates the twelve-month waiting period for persons diagnosed with cancer.
