CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 1055 - This act waives the geographic proximity requirement for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) in collaborative practice agreements that are working in certified community behavioral health clinics.
Further, current law authorizes physicians to enter into a collaborative practice agreement with 3 APRNs and a supervising agreement with 3 licensed physician assistants. This act authorizes physicians to enter into a collaborative practice agreement or a supervising agreement with 6 APRNs or licensed physician assistants, or any combination thereof.
