HCS/HJRs 23 & 3 - Currently, assessors of all charter counties except for Jackson County are required to be elected officers. This proposed Constitutional amendment, if approved by the voters, removes this exception for Jackson County and requires such assessors to comply with all training provisions required by law. This amendment is substantially similar to SJR 1 (2025), SJR 35 (2025), HJR 24 (2025), SJR 55 (2024), HJR 79 (2024), HCS/HJR 68 (2024), SJR 13 (2023), SJR 46 (2022), SJR 10 (2021), SJR 47 (2020), and SJR 17 (2017).
