CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 1297 - This act asserts that the portion of the Kansas City School District that is located in the city of Independence shall be considered a subdistrict for taxing purposes. The act disallows the subdistrict to levy an operating levy for school purposes above $3.50 per $100 of assessed valuation.
