CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 1257 - This act asserts that, should a student be expelled for bringing a weapon to school, violent behavior, or for an act of school violence, that student shall not, for the purposes of the accreditation process of the Missouri school improvement plan, be considered a drop-out or be included in the calculation of that district's educational persistence ratio.
The provisions of this act are included in both the truly agreed to and finally passed HCS/SCS/SB 945 & SBs 803 & 1257 and the truly agreed to and finally passed CCS/HS/HCS/SS/SCS/SB 968 and SCS/SB 969.
