CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 150 - Under current law, the minimum wage is $7.70 per hour. Under this act the minimum wage would be gradually raised according to the following schedule:
• Effective January 1, 2018, the minimum wage shall be $10.10 per hour;
• Effective January 1, 2019, the minimum wage shall be $11.10 per hour;
• Effective January 1, 2020, the minimum wage shall be $12.10 per hour;
• Effective January 1, 2021, the minimum wage shall be $13.10 per hour;
• Effective January 1, 2022, the minimum wage shall be $14.10 per hour; and
• Effective January 1, 2023, the minimum wage shall be $15.00 per hour.
Beginning in 2024, the minimum wage will increase each year based on the increase or decrease in cost of living according to the Consumer Price Index.
