SB 1146 - This act regulates the use of "Traffic Signal Preemption Systems" (TSPS). These devices are used to control traffic signals at intersections. Under the act, these devices may be used by: (1) Emergency vehicle operators during an emergency; (2) Authorized bus operators to maintain a longer green light; and (3) An authorized operator in a traffic signal maintenance vehicle in order to facilitate traffic signal maintenance activities.
