SCS/SB 84 - This act modifies the information that must be provided to the secretary of state when a group wishes to form a new political party. The act repeals the requirement that the petition to form the new party must contain, if presidential electors are to be nominated by petition, the name of at least one qualified resident in each congressional district to be a nominee for presidential elector. If the new party desires to nominate a candidate for president, the names of the presidential electors must accompany the petition when it is filed. JIM ERTLE
