CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 366 - The Public Service Commission and the Office of the Public Counsel shall each designate an attorney as an ombudsman who shall accept any complaint or information provided by a protected person, as defined in the act, regarding any violation by a public utility of current law or an order by the Commission.
All information pertaining to the identity of the protected person shall be kept confidential.
The Commission and the Office of the Public Counsel shall each have the power to investigate any alleged violation by the public utility as provided in current law.
A protected person under the act shall be entitled to the remedies under the Whistleblower's Protection Act.
