SB 335 - This act eliminates the current fee schedule structure within three programs within the Division of Weights, Measures and Consumer Protection within the Department of Agriculture. Furthermore, this act enables the Department of Agriculture to adjust the fee amounts, if and when necessary, to more accurately reflect the cost of operating the three programs relating to metrology, egg licensing, and propane fees. Additionally, the act modifies the definition of "eggs" to include quail eggs. This act is substantially similar to provisions in the truly agreed and finally passed HS/HCS/SS/SB 138 (2023) and SS/HB 202 (2023), HCS/HB 467 (2023), SCS/HCS/HB 631 (2023), SCS/HCS/HB 779 (2023).
