CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 678 - Current law requires state departments to submit quarterly appropriation allotment requests to the Governor's budget director. This act requires state departments to also submit to the budget director the number of full-time positions that have been vacant for ninety days or more, and requires the Governor to reduce the total allotment amount for the fiscal year in order to account for such vacant positions.
