SB 1396 - Under this act, a covenant not to compete between a physician and an employer shall only be enforceable if the physician is providing health care services in a clinical setting and the employer is not a health care entity owned or operated by a nonprofit corporation. A valid covenant not to compete shall be for a period of no longer than 365 days and not extend further than 50 miles from the physician's office address. This act is similar to HB 2754 (2024).
