CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 1041 - Under this act, no physician or health care provider shall perform a pelvic examination of a patient prior to performing or inducing an abortion, unless the treating physician determines that a pelvic examination of the patient is medically necessary. The treating physician shall ensure that the examination is performed when medically appropriate according to his or her reasonable medical judgement.
