SB 670 - This act replaces misdemeanor penalty provisions for offenses relating to scrap metal with an existing progressive penalty system for first, second, and third offenses. This act also repeals a double-enacted Section 407.300 that does not require the record kept by a scrap metal dealer to contain the license plate number of the vehicle used by the seller during the transaction. That provision is preserved in this act. This act is similar to a provision contained in HB 1245 (2014). KAYLA CRIDER
