CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 940 - This act requires that a student athlete who is suspected of sustaining a concussion or brain injury in a practice or game must be removed from competition at that time and administered a side line test designed with a concussion protocol if such test is available and practical. The removal of the student athlete shall be immediate and last for no less than twenty-four hours if the person administering the test believes the student athlete should be removed from competition, or if the side line test is inconclusive or not available and practical.
This act is similar to SB 502 (2015).
