CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 520 - Currently, a person arrested and confined without a warrant or other process for breach of the peace or other criminal offense shall be discharged from custody within 20 hours unless he or she is charged with an offense and held by warrant. Under this act, such person would have to be discharged within 48 hours.
